Writing Realtor. The story starts here.

Do what you love.jpeg

I love writing. I love real estate.

Whether you’re looking for your first home, investing, moving up, downsizing or relocating to Texas, you’ll find stories of interest here. Or if you’re interested in local entertainment, restaurants and other hidden gems in the DFW/Metroplex area, you could very well find some excitement in your own backyard. Because the Writing Realtor is going to explore all things Texas near and far.

Hello, my name is Gina Popp and I’m the Writing Realtor. I’ve been a professional advertising writer and a historical fiction author for a number of years and I sell real estate. Yes, I’ve written about real estate, airlines, fashion, technology and more. And during my advertising writing about homes and communities, I became so interested in the subject I decided to get my realtor license so I could actually sell real estate. Now I feel the urge to write about that too.

When you subscribe to my blog or newsletter, you’ll get weekly posts about what’s happening in the area. From new shops and restaurants in Plano to free outdoor concerts in Rockwall to McKinney’s downtown historic square and homes, I’m going to be covering it all. Kind of like “On The Road” with Jack Kerouac except without any of the drugs, alcohol or sex. Okay, so maybe it’s more like that old show 4 Country Reporter with a dash of flash and real estate.

I’m also going to be interviewing architects and talking about the latest design trends with home stagers. And, of course, I’m going to have a few educational posts on things like qualifying for down payment assistance. Did you know it’s possible to get a Zero Down Payment loan? Did you know teachers and first responders may qualify for grants that they don’t have to pay back? And did you know some cities give down payment grants to help home buyers live there? Yeah, I know exciting stuff. Especially when you’re home shopping.

Large and small. Expensive and affordable. New and historic. The Writing Realtor (that’s me) will be exploring and selling it all. So stick around and see what my next chapter (blog post) brings for you. It could be life-changing or at least somewhat helpful.

Now this is the part where my story ends and yours begins. Email me at ginapopp@att.net with questions or to start your new home search.
